Grieving the death of a loved one is an incredibly challenging experience. As painful as it can be, grief is not defined by pain alone. The depth of grief often mirrors the depth of love shared. Learning to love in new ways, in the abence of physical presence, is both demanding and difficult—but also astonishingly beautiful. It is this spirit of beauty and love through grief that I strive to honor in my portraits.
My work is about bringing beloved animals back to life in another form—capturing the essence of their soul so their humans can feel them near once more. Through love, and charcoal on paper, I hope to return a piece of their spirit to the living.

“We wrote Bronwyn to commission a portrait of our Chapito on the anniversary of saying goodbye to him and in just a few weeks it was in our home. She was clear and prompt with communication about the specifics of the portrait and generously shared some photos of the process that made us swoon every time. It's impossible to overstate the beauty of her work. She's an astoundingly talented artist and she held space for us and our grief with such tenderness. The care she puts into these portraits is palpable, it's an incredible gift of art and love. We are so happy to look up and see him every day.” - Zahydé & Jerry
