My name is Bronwyn and I am an artist based in New York City. Each hand-drawn charcoal portrait I do, I illustrate with love and tenderness, capturing not just the physical form, but the very soul of your pet—the mischievous glint in their eye, the playful curve of their tail, and the warmth of their presence. Every stroke I make is carefully rendered on 100% cotton, archival-quality paper, ensuring the longevity and preservation of your pet’s likeness for generations to come.
︎The animals in our lives are more than pets; they are our family, our friends, and our loved ones. They teach us things about ourselves, about how to care for others, and how to love. When we love an animal, we expand ourselves beyond the bounds of our species, and our capacity for love deepens and extends into every avenue of our lives. I approach each portrait I create from this perspective—knowing that a beautifully complex relationship is nested behind each image sent to me. I feel this on an intuitive level, and I begin to draw.

Why Sweetboy? When we adopted our dog, Bagel, the name on his vet records from back in Georgia was Sweetboy. He wasn’t reponsive to this name, but it certainly matched his personality. Although no longer what he goes by, he is and will always be my Sweetboy.
“I adore the portrait Bronwyn did of our 10 pound gremlin chihuahua. It is such a perfect tribute to Pura’s essence, both in sass and sweetness, but my absolute favorite part of the entire process was receiving a new picture update every few days, and witnessing Pura’s spirit actually come through the charcoal and onto the page. I’ll never forget how I felt with each update. It’s an irreplaceable service Bronwyn is offering the community. If you ever get the opportunity to receive one of Bronwyn portraits, I would very strongly recommend it.” - Maryam S.

“Bronwyn is much more than a brilliant draftsman; she approaches her life and her art with a sparkling empathetic sensibility that animates everything she does. Her most special skill as a portraitist is her ability to mete out wit, warmth and dignity in every subject.“ - Ted M.
